He served as a deacon for two terms in the missions committee, before taking a recess for a term.  He confessed Christ while in secondary school and was baptized in December 1967. Michael’s spiritual gift is teaching; he is a Precept Ministry Bible study leader. He sees his role in the church as supporting the pastoral team, ministering to members and reaching out to the community.

  • ELDER LEE KUAN KIEN

ELDER LEE KUAN KIEN has made the decision to return and serve as an active elder after being on leave for 2 terms, despite having no clear answer from the Lord as to how he will manage his time. Currently he runs parallel structured cabling projects, engages in engineering  endeavors  and expands  the current business profile for Cable Art Pte Ltd which he manages. He is married to Serina, and has 2 sons Joseph and Joshua and 2 daughters Janice and Joanne. One of the reasons for his return to active service is in obedience to the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25, which he considers to be a difficult passage in the Bible. He sees that the 2 servants who did something with the resources entrusted to them were able to perceive what they could do, took calculated risks, worked very hard and were rewarded with good results.

  • DEACON DAVID SEOW, Ministry Involvement: Audit Committee

David Seow Keng Seng works as a Regional Controller with Solar Turbines, a division of Caterpillar Inc. He has been married for 19 years to Shirley Wong and has two teenage sons, Caleb & Timothy. David grew up in a Christian home but accepted the Lord as personal Saviour when he was 14 years old. He comes from a Bible-Presbyterian background and spent half his life worshipping in a Chinese church (and still nearly flunked Mandarin). David initially struggled with the idea of serving in the Session as he felt he is spiritually inadequate and lacking. God reminded him of the story of Moses and the verse in 1 Samuel 15:22 “to obey is better than sacrifice”. He is convicted of the need to obey God’s high calling, willingly be a servant for His cause and let Him take care of the rest.
