Rev Luke Thurai came to know the Lord Jesus through the miraculous intervention of the Lord. Prior to joining CBC (ES), which was what Hope PC was known as then, Luke served in the Helping Hand, a ministry to drug addicts in Singapore from 1993. It was in 2001 that Luke joined Hope PC as a ministry staff before going for theological studies in 2004 in Trinity Theological Studies. He rejoined the church as a pastor after graduation in 2006. In Feb 2009, he was ordained as a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Singapore. Luke is married to Mageas, an admin officer with the Ministry of Education.
Pastor PAUL TEOH, Youth & Missions Pastor

Born-again: 1979. Call to Missions: 1981. Since 1992, he has served with Operation Mobilisation; Bartley Christian Church; InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/ USA; the Evangelical Free Church of America; the Chinese Christian Church of Columbia, SC and most recently OMF International. He began serving at Hope Presbyterian Church since Sep 2006 as the Youth Ministry Advisor and as the Youth Pastor since coming on staff in July 2008. Education: M.A. in Leadership for Evangelism and Mobilisation (Columbia Biblical Seminary & School of Missions, SC (2006). He is happily married to Michelle, and blessed with three young men (Matthew, Timothy and Josiah) who love the Lord and desire to follow Him to the ends of the earth. He is passionate about missions mobilisation and enjoys cooking and travelling.
Pastor JINGLE CORTES, Worship, Pag-Asa, Evangelism

A theater arts graduate who subsequently became a lawyer, Jingle came to know the Lord in 1979. While being groomed to enter politics in her hometown in the Philippines, she obeyed the Lord by entering full-time ministry in 1987 together with her husband when he was called to serve in the Asia Pacific Navigators based in Singapore. The Lord expanded her ministry. Her theatre and music background opened doors for her to minister as worship and music pastor where she grew as a worship leader and where she directed several musicales and dramas for outreaches. Her NAV training instilled in her the passion for evangelism and discipleship. This was translated into the lives of many Singaporean women and the growth of a Filipino congregation in a church in Singapore extending to the Philippines, Myanmar, Hongkong, Canada and Norway. Jingle obtained her Masters in Divinity from Singapore Bible College where she is also enrolled in the Doctorate in Ministry programme. She is blessed with two children, Joseph Benjamin and Janene Candice. She is happily married to Jonathan Cortes who is currently, the Southeast Asia Director of Advancing Native Missions, a US-based para-church organization which advocates and supports missions by nationals. She joined Hope PC in January 2010.

Made in Taiwan, grew up in Canada, graduated from Prairie Bible College (Bachelor in Biblical Studies/ Minor in Christian Ed- 1985). Married to Stephen and has three children Greg, Jeremy & Natalie. Passion for church ministries; served in children, youth, missions and music leadership positions. Enjoys sports & traveling and meeting people. Joined HPC as a voluntary ministry staff since July 2008.
AIMEE PANER FAIGAL, Ministry Staff (Admin)

Currently designated as a ministry/admin staff, she coordinates the Pag-Asa (Filipino) Ministry under the supervision of Pastor Jingle Cortes. She provides support to the Youth (Powerhouse) and Worship ministries. She’s a Filipina Christian, with a heart that belongs to Jesus. She is married to Carlo Faigal, also a Filipino Hope PC member. Youngest of the 4 siblings, Aimee came from an average Filipino family who loves to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Made in Singapore, grew up here, truly a Singaporean! A Cantonese, she is 3rd in a family of 7 siblings. Graduated from the University of Singapore, she worked as a banker for 28 years before joining the teaching profession as an English Language teacher. In Jan 2011, she joined the church as a part-time administrative staff. She is blessed with 2 children, Shawn and Marianne. Currently, she is a member of the Missions Committee, makes yearly mission trips and serves in her all-ladies CG as a Bible Study teacher. Enjoys cooking, travelling and meeting with people to encourage them. Loves to retreat and just enjoy God’s presence
